RCA 29K Restoration Update

Cleaned up the preset trimmers:





On the bench ready for alignment...I had a problem with it motorboating until I tracked down that I had left off a capacitor at the oscillator-1st detector stage. I figure that's pretty good odds for a complete rewire.


I coated the speaker cone with a sealant to extend the life of the paper:


I had to patch a couple weak spots and rips. I use cigarette rolling papers and glue.





The antenna coil assembly cleaned up nicely as well:





A full set of new tubes, the others were weak-to-fair.
